By far my favorite hairstyle

I just wanted to show off this hairstyle again because it is by far my favorite so far.

Crazy hair

Lots of people say that my daughter has fine hair and that makes me lol. The truth is that it is pretty thick and knots up very easily. On days I don't do her hair in a style I still have to braid it before she goes to bed or its a struggle to brush it out in the morning. I found this amazing brush called the knot genie and it works great for her hair. The brush only cost me $9 and it's the best money I have ever spent. I am posting a pic of the brush so you can see what it looks like. I'm also posting a pic of what my daughters hair looks like after I brush it out. She's got a serious fro lol.

Ebay rocks

I am so excited I just won 50 silver hair clips on ebay that I can hot glue flowers or jewels into $1.24 with free shipping. You can't beat that and I just had to share. I get most of my daughters hair accessories from eBay for super cheap and most of them had free shipping. Just an FYI for everyone out there. Why pay $5.00 for a flower hair clip when you can make your own for about 10¢

More styles posted

Today I decided that I would add some more hairstyle variations that I have done to my little girl. I have added pigtails, twists and natural hairstyles. Make sure to check them out and tell me what you think. I also do hair wraps using embroidery floss on my daughters hair. She loves them because she gets to pick the colors and beads she wants on it. Usually she likes to spell her name at the bottom of the wrap with beads. The hair wraps will last for months even through daily showers and play. If you have any questions or would like to learn how to do any of my styles or wraps just let me know.

Natural highlights

I just wanted to show off a picture of my daughters natural highlights. A lot of people have asked if I dye her hair but come on people, she's only 7. She was just blessed with awesome hair.

Braids

I love braiding my daughters hair in different ways. Some are everyday braids and some are very elegant. Be sure to check out my braids page by clicking on braids to the right. I am sure you will find something there you would love to do on your little princess. Enjoy!

More pics to come....

For anyone who is just visiting me I wanted to let you know that I have tons more pics I will be adding here with different hairstyles. I am just starting out with this blog so it might take me a minute but please be patient with me and come back often. I will also be updating it a couple times a week with new hairstyles. :)

The Bun

Ahh the bun. Who doesn't love the bun. You can wear a bun for pretty much any occasion from formal to informal. I have a bun maker that I use for my daughters hair however I really didn't understand how to properly use it until recently. I used to use bobby pins to hold the hair in place for the bun until I discovered a youtube video and found out I hold it in place with an elastic hair tie. What a difference that makes and now her buns look perfect. Anyways, check out bun hairstyles on the side and check out what I've done.

Giving credit where credits due...

Although some of the hairstyles I do to my daughters hair I make up on my own, I get a lot of my inspiration from a few websites. One of my favorite little girl hairstyle sites is http://www.princesshairstyles.com/. This website is FULL of great hairdos for your little princess. It also has video tutorials which really help for some of the more difficult dos to figure out.
Another site that I love is www.cutegirlshairstyles.com .Between either of these sites you are sure to find the perfect hairstyle to do on your daughter for any occasion. Thanks ladies!

Showing off some holiday hair

So I’m sitting here on my couch kinda bored watching Dr. Phil (it’s a rerun) so I thought I would start by posting some of the holiday hairstyles I did for my daughter. My daughter just loves to coordinate her hair with the holidays. I have more styles that I have done to her but can’t seem to find the pics right now. Please click on holiday hair and check out what I’ve done.

The Beginning

So this is it. I’m finally starting a blog. What will my blog be about you may wonder. The simple answer is HAIR! I love to do hair and I have a perfect little girl that lets me get my hair fix whenever I want.
Fist things first though. Let me start by telling you a little about myself. I am a registered nurse by night (which is why many of my posts will be at night because I can never seem to get my sleep cycle right) and a wife and mother by day. I am 33 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband for 12 years. I have 6 children in total, a 21 year old daughter( step of course…. I didn’t start quite that young) a 16 year old son, 15 year old son, 12 year old son, 10 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. Yup that’s right, 4 boys and 2 girls ( I wasn’t stopping until I got her). I also have 2 wonderful grandkids, one boy and one girl.
My daughter has beautiful long hair with natural highlights. She gets for free what I have to pay for at the salon :) One day about a year ago I was bored one night so I started searching the internet for hairstyles that I could do on my little girl. I came across the website princesshairstyles.com and that’s when it all started.
I consider myself to be pretty creative and a pretty quick learner so I searched the website all night long. The next day I sat my daughter down and tried out a hairstyle from their site that I had learned and to my delight I was able to do it and it looked beautiful. My daughter was so excited to have a new creative hairstyle instead of just a boring ponytail.
At school she is known as the “pretty hair girl”. I get endless compliments on her hair and people just cant wait to see her to see what her new “do” will look like. The most common remarks that I get besides how beautiful her hair is, is that people say their child would never sit down long enough to do it. Well I am truly blessed to have a daughter that sits very still 95% of the time. Usually I give her my phone to play with and she is content.
I usually try to do her hair the night before and I wrap it up so it still looks perfect the next day. This is especially important on nights that I have to work as she is already gone for school by the time I get home in the morning. All her dad needs to do is take the wrap off and poof, her hair is instantly ready for school.
Although I haven’t taken pictures of all the hairstyles I have done to her over the last year I think I have enough to get this blog started. From now on I will be taking pics of all of her hairstyles and posting them on here.  I hope you enjoy reading and thanks for stopping by.
